railway sleepers? I don't think so.

We were gonna build the walls of the pond with railway sleepers till I priced them up on the internet yesterday, we were looking at £500-£600, there is no way I'm paying that so I think we are gonna build it with concrete blocks, should be a bit cheaper I think.

change of heart

We have now had a change of heart about the pond and are going to build a bigger one, a raised one with an 18" to 2ft wall and a safety cover to stop the little bugger climbing in.
So now all we gotta do is plan it, build it, dig it, line it, fill it, filter it, pump it, plant it and stock it!!

2 days off woo woo

just finished work and now it's time for my 2 days off.. woo woo

was thinking off digging a new pond but we have decided it's too dangerous for our Chrissy (grandson) so i'm gonna try and get a better filter and pump for the small pond we already have and try to sort it out, it's covered in algae and blanket weed at the mo.
trouble is it's too small so it doesn't look after itself and needs a lot of time spent on it. the bigger the pond the easier to maintain.

restarted the 24 hr race in GT4 using a different car (the F1 car) and came in first!!
only got one more endurance race to do now and that's all the silly long ones done.

It's my last night at work next saturday (29th) then I've got 2 weeks off, anybody got any ideas for days out for us?

I set it off last night in B-Spec (manager) mode on one of the 24 hr races. Got home this morning and it's done nearly 200 laps and I'm only in 4th place, stupid game!!!!!!!!

Looks like summers over, it's raining here :-(

I have also made a small rss feed for the main site, it only links you to the latest messages page at the mo but hopefully I'll do something better later.

Morning All

Got up this morning at 7am ish (was my night off last night) and set about washing the car. Sounds strange I know but it's too sunny later in the day to do it.. anyway I washed and dried it and then thought I'd try some T-Cut ColourFast to try and get rid of some of the swirl marks and small scratches in the paintwork.
The first couple of panels I did didn't turn out too well but I discovered I wasn't rubbing it on hard enough and I wasn't letting it dry enough before buffing it off, so I did this on the rest of the car and it seems to have worked (not as well as I'd hoped but it's nice and shiny now. It's panther black so you have to keep it clean 'cos there's nothing worse than a dirty black car.

Had a few more members than normal join the site over the weekend, so maybe making it free was a good idea, we'll have to see though if I can make enough money from adverts to pay for the hosting fess etc.

Our Becky (middle daughter, aged 17) has been to Edinburgh for 3 days with college, she gets back tonight, hope she's had a good time.

Was going to start the process of making the site free today but it looks like there's more work involved than I thought so I've left it till I get more time.

Long Time No See

Well it's been a while since I've been on here, just too busy ...

However my other site (www.parrotlinks.com) is about to change hands, I've decided to sell it as we no longer have a parrot and it's just taking up far too much of my time, so I should have more time to devote to reunite and this blog.

So what's happened?? Well Netty is now working full-time, we no longer have the parrot, we have a grandson (Christopher David) we got a new car.. erm... all sorts really.

I am thinking of making some changes to the reunite site.. maybe making it free to join and post and relying on advertising to pay the hosting fee's.. dunno yet.

Anyway that's it for now, hopefully this will get updated more often once I've sold the other site.
