was founded in September 1999 by myself, Dave Clarke,
I got the idea from a regular column in a national
newspaper and thought it was a great idea for a
website.
What started off as mainly a site for me to learn
a bit about web design and construction quickly
took off and has gradually grown into the site you
are on today.
Until recently all the messages on the site had
to be uploaded manually by myself, my wife and my
daughter. As you can imagine as the site grew this
became more and more time consuming and so the decision
was made to transfer to a database driven site which
would allow users to add, edit and delete their
own messages with very little interference from
us, although we still have to vet the messages.
Dave Clarke lives in Yorkshire and works the nightshift
in a warehouse for one of the major supermarket
chains in the U.K. He runs this site in his spare
time with the help of his wife Netty and daughter
Becky.
As you can imagine this site takes up a considerable
amount of our time and not a little money, please
